How do I connect a new handset to an existing base?

Prerequisites

Use the following steps:

Remove the current handset from the base. Turn it off by pressing and holding the Mute button until the LED light flashes white three times.
Turn off the new handset (as in step 1).
Dock the new handset on the base. The LED light will eventually flash blue, and soon after it will turn solid white. The handset is now paired with the base.
