What is Active Noise Cancellation?
At Jabra, we engineer headsets that feature advanced noise cancelling technologies. But how does ANC work, and why is it so popular?
Active Noise Cancellation counters noise. It detects and analyzes the pattern of incoming sound, and then generates an “anti-noise” mirror signal to cancel it out. As a result, you experience a drastically reduced level of noise.
ANC is optimal for steady, low-frequency sounds, such as ceiling fans, engine noise, or office chatter. You usually find ANC in stereo headsets that cover both ears, but some mono headsets also use it to improve noise management.
Hear what you need to hear with noise cancelling technology
Allow your employees to be more productive. Reduce background noise and interruptions using Passive and Active Noise Cancellation, and an integrated Jabra busylight that acts as a ‘do not disturb’ sign.

Hear for yourself
You can switch on Active Noise Cancellation to virtually eliminate low-frequency sounds, like the hum of air conditioning. ANC uses advanced microphones to monitor, and counter, ambient noise.
